To achieve this they are offering free smart meters to all of their customers. A smart meter is a device that automatically takes your energy reading every half an hour and sends it via a mobile signal to the First Utility head offices. This means that you no longer have to submit meter readings and when your bill arrives it will be 100% accurate so you only pay for what you use. Plus, you can see how much electricity/gas you are using on an hourly/daily basis via a simple easy to read graph produced on your online account.
With this type of information at your finger tips you can really start to make conscious efforts to change your energy usage habits in order to lower your gas and electric bills and what's more you get to see the difference these changes have made to your monthly spend.

How to earn points at First Utility
To earn loyalty points ensure you are logged into your Maximiles account, click through to First Utility via the Maximiles website and then shop as normal. Your points will be added to your Maximiles account when we receive notification from First Utility. Please be aware this could take up to 120 days but in rare cases longer than that.
